Director of Preta Portê Filmes Juliana Vicente and producer Monique Rocco attended the event “Mujeres Afro En Escena”, a meeting that honours the talent and create solutions for black actresses, cultural producers and filmmakers around Latin America and Caribbean. Created by the actress Alicia Olivares, Mujeres Afro En Escena was hosted online from December 10th to 13rd, 2020. The event schedule was full of theather plays, performances, screenings and discussions about the existing challenges and the importance of cultural inclusion and creative processes.
The director Juliana Vicente took part in a discussion entitled “How to create solutions on cultural management?”. Besides her, Alicia Olivares (Peru), Catalina Mosquera (Colombia), Paula Moreno (Colombia) and Mariela Noles Cotito (Perú) were present. You can watch it in Spanish on the link above.
Executive producer Monique Rocco took part in a discussion entitled “Life experiences: opportunities and challenges for afrowomen on visual arts”. Medhin Tewolde (Mexico), Heny L.
